Half Day Tour

This half-day tour focuses on wildlife observation and marine exploration in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. The route combines coastal mangrove ecosystems with jungle habitats to view local species.
We begin by navigating to a natural mangrove nursery to observe wild sloths resting in the tree canopy. Next, the boat anchors at a nearby reef for a snorkeling session to view the local marine life. The trip then continues to Red Frog Beach, where you can walk the coastal forest trails to locate native strawberry poison-dart frogs or simply spend your time relaxing by the water.
Cold drinks, tropical fruits, and local snacks are provided on board throughout the four-hour trip.
The stars of the jungle are the three-toed sloths and red frogs. These unique species have perfectly evolved with this ecosystem. Sloths grow algae for camouflage in the canopy, while the tiny, brightly colored frogs draw their toxicity from the forest floor.

DEPARTURE FROM PANGEA HUB
Our crew will welcome you aboard at the Pangea Hub. Settle in as we begin our 8-hour expedition, cruising out to Playa Estrella.
SLOTH SIGHTING
We begin by navigating to a natural mangrove nursery to observe wild three-toed sloths in their native habitat. You will have time to quietly watch these slow-moving animals resting in the canopy directly from the boat.
SNORKEL & RED FROG
After observing the sloths, we anchor at a nearby reef for a snorkeling session. Next, we head to Red Frog Beach where you can walk the forest trails to spot the native strawberry poison-dart frogs or simply relax by the water.
RETURN TO PANGEA HUB
Relax and enjoy the scenic boat ride as we navigate back to Bocas Town.
